Final Project - Infographic Animated Video
INSTRUCTION:
Based on FLIP group topic research, produce a basic video
animation.
DESCRIPTION:
Using a processed design framework, you will now produce
an infographic report to present the given information to a ‘target
audience’ with the purpose of:
1. Creating awareness (such as Global Warming, Recycle, etc.)
2. Explaining a process (such as "how to" video)
3. Defining a concept (such as "What is Fast Fashion", "What is Color
Wheel", etc.)
Any time based media and software using photography, vector
imagery.
Design Considerations:
● Organization Principles – LATCH and Content Organization
● Aesthetic Principles – Animation principles
● Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization
Output Expectation:
The presentation must be deliberated on, consider each
assessment rubric of sorts to your final outcome:
● Show causality
● Multivariate graphics and visuals
● Integrate word number and images
● Content count
● Within eyesight
● Use multiple charts
● Do not de-quantify
When our group first brainstormed potential topics, we tossed around ideas like fast fashion, inconsistent sleep patterns, and even Aedes mosquitoes. But when we landed on color blindness, it felt like the perfect fit.
Our team is diving deep into this topic, with each member contributing their unique skills. I’m working on the slides alongside Jiayi and Guanmei, ensuring that our presentation is visually engaging and easy to follow. Meanwhile, Tongen is crafting the introduction, Carmen is outlining our objectives, and Sher Wei is defining our target audience. Chloee, Minxuan, and Janice are gathering valuable information and data to support our arguments.

One thing that stood out to me during our discussions was how much we, as designers, can learn from this project. By understanding the challenges faced by colorblind users, we can create designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and inclusive.

Our group’s project on color blindness and web accessibility has taken an exciting turn as we move into the animation phase. After getting our ideas and content approved by Mr. Shamsul, we’ve shifted our focus to creating a simple yet informative animation that effectively communicates our message.
Animation is a powerful tool for storytelling, and we want to use it to make our topic engaging and easy to understand. Our goal is to create something that not only educates but also resonates with our audience. Here’s how we’re breaking down the work:
Storyboard and Idea Planning
Sher Wei, Jiayi, and Chloe are leading the charge on this front. They’ve been brainstorming ideas and developing a storyboard that outlines the flow of our animation. The storyboard will serve as the blueprint for our project, ensuring that every scene aligns with our message and objectives.
Illustration and Frame Arrangement
This is where Minxuan, Guan Mei, Tongen, and I come in. We’re responsible for creating the illustrations and arranging the frames to bring the storyboard to life. Our aim is to keep the visuals clean, simple, and impactful, so they complement the narrative without overwhelming the viewer.
Video Editing
Once the illustrations and frames are ready, Kiya and Janice will take over the video editing. They’ll piece everything together, add transitions, and ensure the animation flows smoothly. This step is crucial for making the final product polished and professional.
Voiceover
Carmen will be lending her voice to the animation, providing the narration that ties everything together. A clear and engaging voiceover will help convey our message effectively and keep the audience hooked.
1st try of the illustration style
Once the illustrations were completed, the animation team started their work, integrating the visuals and uploading the finalized voiceover to the shared drive for seamless collaboration.

This animation project has been a meaningful journey of learning and collaboration. Focusing on color blindness and web accessibility opened my eyes to the challenges many face in the digital world and the importance of inclusive design. Working on illustrations with Minxuan, Guan Mei, and Tongen taught me the value of teamwork and simplicity in visual storytelling. This experience has made me more mindful of accessibility in design and the impact we can have as designers. I’m proud of our work and hope it inspires others to create more inclusive digital spaces.
